George Thackray Weems ... picked up one win at the NCAA Championships ... finished the season ranked second on the team with a 26-10 record ... earned a No. 2 seed at the EIWA Championships and finished in second place with a 3-1 record ... won 14 of his last 17 bouts ... two of those losses were to 2004 All-Americans ... posted a 10-2 mark in dual meets ... posted back-to-back victories over Army's Bo Reynolds to end the regular season ... the first decision gave Garrett his first tournament title of the year at the All-Academy Championships ... the second decision helped the Mids earn the N-Star with a 22-9 victory over the Black Knights ... scored seven of his wins by major decision and one by pin ... took third place at the Navy Classic and the Sunshine Open.
2002-03: Posted a 10-13 overall record, while moving up from 197 pounds to heavyweight after starter Steve Kovach went down with a season-ending knee injury ... won five of his first-six collegiate matches ... competed at the EIWA Championships ... captured the 197-pound weight class of the freshman/sophomore division at the Central New Jersey Open ... scored a 3-1 victory against Appalachian State's David Hazell in the fifth-place match of the Sunshine Open ... dropped a narrow 2-1 decision in overtime to VMI's Scott Buhman in the third-place match of the All-Academy Championship ... scored a big 12-4 win against Leroy Harris in the N.C.
