Stolpinski in 2007-08: Amateur Wrestling News, the Wrestling Report and W.I.N Magazine list Stolpinski as the No. 2 wrestler at 174 pounds in their preseason rankings ... has been invited to compete at the 2007-08 NWCA All-Star Classic in Eugene, Ore. on Nov.19 ... only the 12th Navy wrestler to receive the invitation since its inception in 1967 and first since All-American Mark Conley in 2001-02 ... voted by his peers to serve as the Mids' team captain for the 2007-08 season ... heads into his senior campaign one win shy of becoming only the eight wrestler in school history to win 100 matches ... stands eighth on Navy's career matches wrestled list with 134, just 27 behind record holder Mark Conley, who was credited with 161 bouts between 1998-02.

2006-07: Compiled a 44-7 record, including a 13-2 mark in dual meet action, en route to finishing fourth at the NCAA Championship in the 174-pound weight class and earning All-America kudos ... became Navy's first wrestling All-American since Frank Edwards picked up the honor in 2002-03 ... Stolpinski is Navy's highest finisher at the national tournament since Scott Schleicher placed second at 158 pounds in 1989-90 ... along the way, Stolpinski set the program record for most matches wrestled with 51, while tying the record for most wins, matching Mark Conley's record of 44 set during the 2001-02 campaign ... his 74 wins between his sophomore (30) and junior (44) years are the third-most wins by a Navy wrestler in any two seasons combined ... Mark Conley (2001-02) and Tanner Garrett (2005-06) each won 78 matches ... finished the year with a 10-6 record against ranked competition ... in addition to his achievements at the NCAA Championship, Stolpinski won individual titles at the Navy Classic, the All-Academy Championship and he became Navy's first EIWA individual title winner (along with heavyweight Ed Prendergast) since 2002 ... with his 3-2 decision over The Citadel's Darius Caldwell, he captured his third-consecutive All-Academy Wrestling Championship ... he is only the fourth wrestler in Naval Academy history to win three individual titles at the All-Academy tournament, joining Greg Gingeleskie (1997-98-99), Mark Conley (2000-01-02) and Tanner Garrett (2004-05-06) ... no Navy wrestler has won the individual title four years ... after dropping the title match to Michigan's Steve Luke at the Eastern Michigan Open, kicked off a 14-match winning streak with a 15-5 major decision over Cumberland's Jordan Powers at the Northwestern Duals ... his streak ended with a 3-1 loss to then second-ranked James Yonushonis from Penn State in the championship bout of the Nittany Lion Open ... won four in a row at the Southern Scuffle, including a 7-3 decision over eighth-ranked Gabe Dretsch from Minnesota ... was pinned in the championship match by Minnesota's Ben Askren who went on to win the National Championship ... kicked off a second 14-match winning streak by defeating 10th-ranked Mike Letts in the annual Maryland dual ... did not lose another match until the opening round of the NCAA Tournament when Northwestern's Nick Hayes surprised Stolpinski with a 6-5 overtime win ... easily cruised through the first round and quarterfinals of the EIWA Championship with a technical fall over Princeton's John Clore (16-0) and a major decision (12-1) over Bucknell's Shane Riccio ... earned an 11-6 decision over Penn's Matthew Herrington, ranked No. 11, in the semis to advance to the title match ... earned a 7-5 sudden victory over 10th-ranked Matt Palmer from Columbia to take the EIWA crown ... despite his opening round loss to Hayes in the opening round of the NCAA Championship, Stolpinski recovered by winning six matches in a row, including four in one day ... defeated sixth-seeded Kenneth Cook from UC Davis, 7-2, and ninth-seeded Matt Palmer from Columbia, 11-8 ... pinned Oklahoma State's Brandon Mason, ranked 13th, to advance to the third-place match ... fifth-seeded Eric Luedke from Iowa just edged Stolpinski, 3-2 ... half o Stolpinski's wins were via decisions, while only one of his seven losses was by more than a decision ... turned in a flawless 18-0 record against competitors representing EIWA schools.

2005-06: Finished his sophomore campaign with a 30-11 record, including a 10-4 mark in dual meet competition ... his 30 wins are tied as the third most wins by a sophomore in program history ... he is just the 20th different wrestler in Navy history to reach 30 wins in a season ... the feat has been accomplished 30 times ... his 30 wins are the most by a Navy wrestler at the 174-pound weight class ... he improved upon previous record holder Mark Newman's mark of 29 in 2000-01 ... seven of his 11 losses were to ranked foes at the time of the meet ...his 55 wins in his first two seasons are also the third-most wins by a wrestler in his first two seasons combined ... recorded four pins during the season ... made his first appearance at the NCAA Championship after earning one of 14 wildcards ... won his opening bout at the NCAA Championship, pinning Kent State's Aaron Miller ... dropped back-to-back matches at the NCAA Tournament, marking the first time all year he lost two matches in a row ... was the lone representative from the state of Massachusetts to compete in the 2006 NCAA Championship ... was seeded fourth and finished fourth at the EIWA Championship with a 1-2 record ... dropped matches to 12th-ranked Travis Frick from Lehigh and ninth-ranked Matt Palmer of Columbia ... won his first-collegiate individual title, the Navy Classic, by defeating Kurt Brenner of West Virginia in the title match ... won the All-Academy Tournament after pinning The Citadel's Darius Caldwell and became the first Navy wrestler to win All-Academy Tournament titles in each of his first two seasons .... defeated Chad Marzec in overtime, 5-3, in the Army-Navy dual ... defeated Cornell's Dan Miracola twice, a 9-8 decision at the Southern Scuffle and by a 6-4 count at the EIWA Championship... posted a 3-0 dual-meet record at the Lone Star Duals, winning by decision, tech fall and fall.

2004-05: Stolpinski had an outstanding freshman season, recording a 25-17 mark and a sixth-place EIWA Tournament finish ... first Navy freshman to place at the EIWA Championships since Greg Gingeleskie placed third in 1995-96 ... led the team with seven falls, earning the Ray Swartz Award for most falls in least amount of time ... recorded first career technical fall against Jonathan Butler of Princeton in the first round of EIWAs ... then took top seed Travis Frick of Lehigh to the wire, before falling, 4-1 ... took down East Stroudsburg's John Carr at the buzzer in the consolation bracket to complete a remarkable rally to continue his EIWA Tournament. He trailed Carr, 4-0, before scoring five third-period points ... recorded three falls in a row, including avenging an earlier loss to N.C. State's Kevin Gabrielson, in early February ... claimed the All-Academy Championship, becoming just the third Navy freshman to win an All-Academy title ... dropped a 6-4 sudden-victory decision to 15th-ranked Leonel Sanchez of Cal State-Fullerton in his first career dual match ... eight of his losses were to ranked foes, including four by three or fewer points ... finished third in the Navy Classic and fourth in the Eastern Michigan Open ... recorded 28 takedowns in dual-meet action, the third most on the team ... went 5-2 at the University National Freestyle Championships in mid-April, just missing out on a top-eight finish.
