• High School: A 2010 graduate of Deep Run High School, Walsh attended the Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School during the 2010-11 academic year ... a four-year wrestling letterwinner, he earned All-State (Va.) honors as a senior, while also being named all-region ... served as team captain his senior year.
• Personal: Son of Patrick and Maryalice Walsh ... grandfather, Tom O'Connor, graduated from the Naval Academy in 1948 ... majoring in Oceanography ... named to the Commandant's List four times, including each of the last two semesters ... his service assignment upon graduation is Marine Corps Ground.
