• Six of the 10 individual winners from last year’s championship are expected to be in action:  125 Trey Chalifoux (Army), 149 Ty Buckiso (The Citadel), 165 Drew Daniels (Navy), 174 Jadaen Bernstein (Navy), 184 Michael Coleman (Navy), 197 Steban Cervantes (Navy).

Zack Davis, meanwhile, is closing in on 20 wins as he enters the weekend with a 19-9 record. He is tied for 17th on Navy’s career wins list with a 95-50 record, trailing 16th-place Craig Delloroso (1984-87) by just one win.  He needs five wins to become just the 15th wrestler in program history to add his name to the 100 wins list.  Davis is also among the leaders among the Mids’ career matches wrestled leader board with 145 (9th).
• Following a 3-1 performance at the Southern Scuffle, Bernstein pushed his career record to 104-40, but has since been sidelined with an injury.  He ranks 12th on Navy’s career wins list, trailing 11th-place Ed Prendergast (2005-08) by just two. Meanwhile, he is four wins shy of joining Navy’s all-time top 10 list. He also stands among the top 10 in career matches wrestled with 144 (#10 on the list).  Bernstein is 2-0 in dual action this season and stands 23-4 in dual matches over his career.
