NCAA to Stream Selection Show for 2010 NCAA Div. I Wrestling Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —  The NCAA will announce the 330 student-athletes set to participate in the 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships via an online-streamed selection show on Wednesday at 6:00 pm ET via the NCAA’s web site, www.NCAA.com(.)

NCAA Div. I Wrestling Committee chair, Brad Traviolia, will provide the show’s introduction while Pat Tocci, Director of Administration and Public Relations for the National Wrestling Coaches Association, will serve as the host as he unveils each of the 10 brackets in the championships field.

Complete printable brackets will be available the NCAA’s web site following the announcement of the field.

Junior All-American Bryce Saddoris (Spring Creek, Nev.), senior team captain Glenn Shober (Reading, Pa.) and junior Robby Neill (Brick, N.J.) have already punched their ticket to the 2010 NCAA Championship slated for March 18-20 at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb.  Navy is hoping to add to that list when the 46 at-large selections are unveiled on Wednesday.  The at-large selections will be made based on the following criteria: head-to-head competition; qualifying event placement; quality wins; results against common opponents; winning percentage; RPI; coaches ranking and the number of matches contested at that weight class.
