Mids Record Patriot League-High 20 on Men’s Cross Country Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – For the second year in a row, the Navy men’s cross country team recorded the most student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, tallying 20 this season, which was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.

Senior captain Sam Peckham, who was also named as the Patriot League Men’s Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second-straight season, posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in systems engineering last semester to earn a spot on the honor roll for the third consecutive year.

Along with Peckham, juniors Hale Bullen, Ryan Speir, Billy Walker, sophomore Josh Hanna and freshman Michael Karls all recorded 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester.

Juniors Sam Williams (3.52) and Mitchell Pratt (3.71) join Bullen, Speir and Walker as three-time honorees on Honor Roll.

Junior Chris Evans (3.90) and sophomores Zach Anderson (3.76), Gabriel Collison (3.26), Parker Place (3.35) and Hanna garnered a spot for the second consecutive season.

Freshmen Nathaniel Graham (3.78), Jack Huntress (3.78), Justin Hyytinen (3.56), Karls, Conor Murphy (3.41) and Michael Wegner (3.76) all qualified for the Honor Roll in their first semester.
