Men's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's cross country team has been recognized as one of 145 teams to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team accolades. It marks the third consecutive season the program has received the award from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship. As a team, Navy posted a 3.05 GPA.
Navy had a strong year academically, as 12 members of the squad were previously named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Senior Chris Galvin was named the Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year and was joined on the conference's all-academic team by sophomore John Sweeney.
