Men's Cross Country Compete at Heptagonal Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's cross country team took sixth place at the Heptagonal Cross Country Championship in New York City's Van Cortlandt Park Friday.

Freshman Eric Schmidt (Fr./Spokane, Wash.) was the highest finishing Midshipman, placing 18th with a time of 25:34.2. Captain Justin Mikolay (Sr./Hudson, Ohio) followed in 24th with a time of 25:40.1. Colin Kennedy (Jr./Elkhorn, Wis.) had a good showing taking 27th with a time 25:51.2.

Navy will return to action Nov. 11, when it heads to the District II Regional, hosted by Penn State.
