Jenerrie Harris is entering her fourth season as a member of the Navy coaching staff in the fall of 2012. One of her numerous responsibilities is to serve as the recruiting coordinator for the program.
The Mids have posted an overall record of 55-40 and a Patriot League mark of 26-16 during her three seasons at Navy. After Navy capped off its 2011 season by the Mids winning the program's first Patriot League title and advancing to Navy's first NCAA Tournament, the Mids became just the sixth team in league history to win back-to-back league tournament titles in 2012.
Prior to her arrival at Navy in the summer of 2009, Harris spent the previous three years as an assistant coach at Wright State. Her final two years at the school were spent as the recruiting and community service director for the program.
The Raiders posted a 21-15 record in the Horizon League over those last two years, a span highlighted by an appearance in the championship game of the league tournament.
A native of Muskegon, Mich., Harris is a 2004 graduate of Kentucky where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and earned All-SEC Academic Team honors as a member of the school's basketball team.
After graduating from Kentucky, Harris began her coaching career as an assistant coach at Northland High School in Columbus, Ohio. She was there one year before moving up to the collegiate ranks as an assistant coach at Longwood. Following one season in Farmville, Va., she went on to her most recent position at Wright State.
