Women’s Basketball Receives Vote in AP National Poll

ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– The Navy women’s basketball team received one vote in this week’s Associated Press Top-25 Poll that was released the night of January 1.

The Mids, 11-1 this season and winners of their Patriot League opener last Friday, were one of 37 teams to receive at least one vote in this week’s national balloting. Also included in the voting was New Mexico, a team the Mids lost a 94-87 overtime decision to on Dec. 10 in Albuquerque, which totaled seven points to rank 30th.

Navy will play its first road game of the league campaign this evening when it plays at Lehigh (7-5, 1-0). The 6 p.m. game from Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa., can be viewed for free via the Patriot League Network, with a link to the stream available on NavySports.com.
