Navy begins its 22nd season as a member of the Patriot League Sunday when the Midshipmen play host to Lafayette in Alumni Hall. The noon game between the longtime foes will be aired live to a national cable television audience on the CBS Sports Network.
Both teams enter the game after having posted identical 7-8 records against non-league opponents. However, the Mids dropped four of their last five games while the Leopards posted a 4-1 record over their last five tilts.
In addition to the game being televised, WNAV-AM 1430 will carry the game live locally starting at 11:45 a.m. The audio stream of the radio broadcast also will be available to via NavySports.com to Navy All-Access subscribers, as well as to those who have downloaded the free Navy App for smart phones and tablets and have subscribed to the audio / video package. Free live statistics from the game also can be found at both NavySports.com and through the Navy App.
Access to the U.S. Naval Academy is restricted to those vehicles with prior authorization. All other visitors to The Yard, including fans for sporting events, must park at nearby Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. The shuttle bus begins one hour prior to the start of the game and leaves from the Blue (west) parking lot of the stadium near the Blue Angel plane.
