Shooting Woes Cost Mids in Loss
On a night when both teams struggled from the field, the free throw line proved to be the difference in Friday’s women’s basketball game that ended with American defeating Navy, 46-41, at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C.

The Game
Navy closes its regular season by playing host to league regular season champion American Wednesday at 7 p.m. NavySports.com will have links to free live video via the Patriot League Network and live statistics from the game, and WNAV will carry the audio portion of the broadcast.

Navy Update
Navy dropped its second game of the week, losing 58-40 at Loyola on Saturday. The Mids enter their regular season finale with a 12-5 record and assured of the No. 3 seed in the league tournament.

American Update
American saw its undefeated league regular season end Saturday with a 57-52 loss at Bucknell. The Eagles, 16-1 in league play, will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming league tournament.

First Meeting
Navy held American without a made field goal in the entire fourth quarter, but the Mids still lost a 46-41 decision to the Eagles when the teams met on Jan. 5 in Washington, D.C., as Navy was outscored 8-4 in the final frame.

Tickets
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth online in advance of the game at NavySports.com. The Alumni Hall Ticket Office will open one hour prior to the start of the game.

Patriot League Tournament Information
Wednesday's game between Navy and American is the only one of the five games on the docket without any Patriot League Tournament implications for either team.

Navy has earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming event and with that a first round bye and a home quarterfinal round game on Monday, March 5. The Mids will face the No. 6 seed in the tournament, which could be either Holy Cross, Lafayette or Loyola.

Tickers -- $10 for adults, $5 for youths -- are now on sale for Monday's quarterfinal round game through the Navy Ticket Office at either 1-800-US4-NAVY for by clicking HERE.

Tickets for Monday's women's quarterfinal round game also will be available for purchase at the will call window of the Alumni Hall Box Office both during Wednesday's American at Navy women's basketball game as well as during Thursday's Holy Cross at Navy men's basketball quarterfinal round game.

USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. It is suggested that everyone else park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin one hour prior to tip. Note that a government issued identification card must be carried and presented by visitors ages 18 and older to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard.
