CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Navy’s Audrey Bauer (Jr., Lake Zurich, Ill.) was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for women’s basketball, the league office announced Tuesday. It is the second-straight year in which Bauer has been named to the squad that recognizes academic and athletic excellence.
Bauer has compiled a 3.45 grade-point average during her time on The Yard. The political science major has been named to the Superintendent’s List in three of her five completed semesters, including the 2012 fall term.
On the basketball court, Bauer scored in double figures in 10 games and made multiple three-point shots in 20 of Navy’s 29 games this season. She also grabbed five or more rebounds in 15 games. Additionally, her 59 three-point fields goals made this season is tied for eighth at Navy.
Bauer ranks second in the league in three-point field goals made (2.0 fgm/g), sixth in three-point percentage (36.1%), tied for 18th in rebounding and is 19th in scoring.
For her career, Bauer ranks third at Navy in career three-point field goal average (1.52 fgm/g) and is fifth with 146 three-point field goals made.
The Mids, who shared the regular season title in the Patriot League with Army, will play host to Lafayette Thursday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament.
