ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For the second consecutive season, Alumni Hall in Annapolis will serve as the host venue for the championship game of the Patriot League's Women's Basketball Tournament. One year after Navy defeated American in the title tilt, the Midshipmen will play host to Holy Cross with a berth to the NCAA Tournament being awarded to the winning team.

The game between the No. 3 Mids and the No. 5 Crusaders will tip at 6 p.m., and will be aired to a national cable television audience by the CBS Sports Network. Local radio station WNAV-AM 1430 also will cover the game. There will not be an internet video stream of the game available, but fans can still follow the game as it happens through live statistics at NavySports.com.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens and are available at the Alumni Hall box office on the day of the game.

All fans without authorized vehicle access to the Naval Academy grounds must park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5 per vehicle to park) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin at 4 p.m., with the Alumni Hall seating area opening up at 4:30 p.m.

Navy advanced into its second consecutive title game by upending No. 2 Lehigh, 64-59, Monday night in Bethlehem, Pa. Meanwhile, the Crusaders, who have won 12 league crowns, recorded a 67-52 win at top-seeded American in their semifinal game.

The Mids have won four consecutive games, while the Crusaders have won five of their last six games.

The two teams split the regular season series this year, with the road team winning by 17 points in both contests.

This will be the third title game matchup between the two teams. Holy Cross posted wins over Navy in both the 1998 and '99 title games. Those two contests were each played at Worcester, Mass.

Holy Cross has won all six previous Patriot League Tournament meetings with Navy, with Saturday's game marking the first time the Mids are the higher-seeded team in the pairing. Additionally, Navy has compiled a 7-3 record in league tournament games that have been played in Alumni Hall, while Holy Cross is 6-0 in the postseason in the venue. These two respective records include a 1994 semifinal round victory by Holy Cross over Navy.
