Navy Graduate Addresses WBCA Convention

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Brigadier Gen. Lori Reynolds, USMC, a 1986 graduate of the Naval Academy, delivered the keynote address at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Convention Monday morning in New Orleans, La.

Reynolds earned four letters as a member of the Navy basketball team and served as the team captain during her senior season. She amassed 755 points and 494 rebounds in her 89-game career. She ranked fifth on Navy's career rebounds list and sixth in career points at the time of her graduation.

Reynolds has served as the Commanding General of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot / Eastern Recruiting Region in Parris Island, S.C., since June of 2011. She is the first female to command the historic base.

Navy women's basketball coach Stefanie Pemper introduced Reynolds at the start of her address.
