CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Recent Naval Academy graduates Audrey Bauer (Lake Zurich, Ill.), M.L. Morrison (Southlake, Texas) and Kara Pollinger (Fort Gay, W.Va.) were among the 66 women's basketball players named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the sport on Tuesday.

Women's basketball players needed to post at least a 3.20 grade-point average for the 2014 spring semester to be eligible for the honor roll.

Bauer recorded a 3.53 GPA during her final semester on The Yard. The American politics and law major appeared on the honor roll in all but her sophomore season. She additionally was named to the Naval Academy's Superintendent's List in five semesters while also being selected for the Patriot League All-Academic Team as both a sophomore and junior.

On the court, Bauer averaged 9.7 points and 5.1 rebounds a game as a senior, while also drilling 59 three-point baskets. She would tally 1,098 career points, 610 career rebounds and rank third at Navy with 215 career three-point field goals made. Bauer appeared in each of Navy's 129 games over the course of her career, which ties her with classmate Jade Geif for the school record, and ranks fourth in school history with 3,635 minutes played.

Morrison also attained a 3.53 GPA for the spring term. This marked the first time the ocean engineering major qualified for the league's academic laurel. In addition to her receiving the academic nod from the league, she also was named to both the Dean's and Commandant's Lists at the USNA for the 2014 spring semester.

Morrison put together the best statistical season of her four-year basketball career during the 2013-14 campaign. She set individual season highs for minutes played (560), points scored (145) and assists dished out (31), while tying her career high for blocks (9) and nearly matching her career-best effort with 83 caroms grabbed.

Pollinger closed her academic career at Navy by posting a 3.87 GPA to complete her degree in mechanical engineering. The two-time team captain made her second appearance on the league's honor roll this year. She also received academic honors from the Naval Academy in six of her eight semesters, which included her being named to the Superintendent's List for the 2013 fall grading period.

Pollinger garnered First-Team All-Patriot League accolades as a senior after being named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team as both a sophomore and junior. She led Navy in both scoring and assists this year with averages of 13.3 points and 4.34 assists a game. Her 87 triples on the year broke the Navy single-season record and her career tally of 203 treys ranks fourth in school history. That outside shooting led her to accruing 1,076 career points.

Bauer's military career will begin this summer with her serving as an officer aboard the USS Winston S. Churchill, while future pilots Morrison and Pollinger will begin flight school later this year.
