ANNAPOLIS, Md. -
Navy women's basketball head coach Stefanie Pemper announced today the promotion of Jenerrie Harris to associate head coach.
Harris, who is entering her fifth season as a member of sixth-year head coach Pemper's coaching staff, serves as the program's recruiting coordinator. The Mids have compiled an overall record of 76-52 and a Patriot League mark of 37-19 during her four completed seasons. More impressive during her short time on The Yard is that Navy has compiled a 10-1 record in the Patriot League Tournament with Harris on the sideline. This brief span includes Navy winning league tournament titles and making NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the last three seasons.
"It's a really nice feeling naming Jenerrie associate head coach of Navy women's basketball," said Pemper. "It's a nice feeling for our players who adore and respect her, for our staff who relies on her every day, and especially for Jenerrie, knowing how much pride she has in our program and how much everyone means to her. An associate head coach title signifies professionalism, trust, and credibility in all phases of coaching, and she is very deserving."
"Four years ago I was honored to become part of this distinguished school and athletic department," said Harris. "I have grown tremendously as a coach in my time here thanks to being with this program. This has been due to the opportunity I have had to coach talented players and work daily alongside a strong staff led by Stef. It has been both humbling and exciting to be part of the success we have enjoyed the last few years. I look forward to the future and the ability for myself and the program to grow even more."
