Four Women’s Basketball Players Earn Academic Award
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –– Four Navy women’s basketball players were recognized for their academic success on Tuesday by being named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the sport. The league office made the announcement of the honor roll that included 85 recipients from the 10 league programs.
Women’s basketball players earned the laurel by having attained at least a 3.20 grade-point average during the 2017 spring semester.
Garnering the accolade for the second time in their respective careers were recent graduate Sarita Condie (Lovelock, Nev.) and rising senior Hannah Fenske (Albuquerque, N.M.). Condie completed a degree in English with a 3.60 GPA over her final term, while Fenske tallied a 3.38 GPA as an operations research major.
Condie’s classmate Justice Swett (Nashville, Tenn.) earned placement onto the honor roll for the first time in her career this spring. The American politics & law major closed out her academic career with a 3.33 GPA.
Rising sophomore Laurel Jaunich (Charlotte, Vt.) also received the accolade. She compiled a 3.72 GPA during the recently completed spring grading period. Jaunich will begin work toward a degree in mechanical engineering this fall.
