ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The 2010-11 Navy women's basketball schedule features the Mids playing teams from 10 different conferences plus an independent prior to the start of Patriot League play. The regular season schedule is equally divided between 14 home games and 14 games that will be played away from Annapolis.

Full season ticket packages start as low as $70 for adults and $35 for kids ages 18 and under. Season ticket holders also receive the ability to park in the Alumni Hall lot on game days. To secure your season tickets today, call the Navy Ticket Office at 800-US4-NAVY.

Navy, which placed third in the Patriot League last year and advanced to the semifinal round of the league tournament for the second consecutive season, will open play this fall Nov. 12 at Siena (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) followed by a game two days later at NJIT (Great West). The Mids will then open the home portion of their season with the Navy Classic on Nov. 19-20. Navy will face Villanova (Big East) and Harvard (Ivy League) over the course of the two days.

One week after playing host to its tournament, Navy will travel to Orono, Maine, to take part in a tournament that is being hosted by Maine. The Mids will first face the tournament-host Black Bears (America East) on Nov. 26 before being matched up against either Florida (Southeastern Conference) or South Alabama (Sun Belt) on the following day.

Navy returns to Annapolis to open a busy stretch consisting of three home games in a span of six days with contests against Loyola (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) on Dec. 3, Delaware (Colonial Athletic Association) on Dec. 5 and Mount St. Mary's (Northeast Conference) on Dec. 8. Two days later, on the eve of the Army-Navy football game that will be played in Philadelphia, the Mids will take to the road for a game at Princeton (Ivy League).

The non-conference portion of Navy's schedule concludes with a Dec. 21 game at home against UMBC (America East), road games Dec. 30 at Air Force (Mountain West) and Jan. 1 at Seattle (Independent status) and a home game Jan. 4 against Howard (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

The Mids posted an 8-7 record against non-conference foes last season. It was the first winning non-league campaign by Navy in four years. Included on its ledger a year ago were wins over Loyola (67-57) and Air Force (54-48) and losses to UMBC (59-51), Delaware (67-50) and Harvard (71-55).

Navy has had recent games against Howard (2008-09) and Mount St. Mary's (2006-07) and last played Princeton 10 years ago. The lone previous game for the Mids against Maine took place during the 1987-88 season, and they have not faced either Siena (1982-83) or Florida (1981-82) for nearly two decades. Additionally, Navy enters the season having never before faced NJIT, Villanova, South Alabama or Seattle.

The Patriot League season commences for Navy with a Jan. 8 game at Bucknell. The Mids will play four conference road games in January, including a Jan. 22 contest at Army, and four Patriot League home games in February. Highlighting the second half of the league schedule for Navy is the Feb. 19 Star Game against Army in Alumni Hall.

The Mids concluded the 2010 Patriot League regular season with a record of 8-6, the second consecutive season in which Navy posted that mark against league foes. Included in that record was the first season series sweep -- and Star-Game victory -- by the Mids of Army in seven years, the first sweep of Bucknell in 12 seasons and the first sweep of Holy Cross in school history.

The 2011 Patriot League Tournament will be played at campus sites, with the higher-seeded team in every game serving as the host school for the contest. The four quarterfinal round games will be played on March 5, the two semifinal games will be held on March 9 and the championship game will take place on March 12.
