Navy begins its home slate by playing host to Rider Sunday at 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Links for free live statistics and a free live video stream via the Patriot League Network can be found at NavySports.com.
Navy opened its 2017-18 campaign with a 77-70 victory Friday night at Marist.
Rider posted an overall record of 24-9 a year ago and placed second in the MAAC with a 16-4 record. The Broncs reached the title game of the MAAC Tournament and garnered a berth into the WNIT. Rider fell to Virginia Tech, 76-62, in the first round of the event. The team was tabbed to place sixth in the MAAC this year. The Broncs will open their 2017-18 season by playing four-straight Patriot League teams: Nov. 10 vs. Bucknell, Nov. 12 at Navy, Nov. 18 vs. Holy Cross, Nov. 21 at Lafayette. In the first such game, the Broncs lost a 76-71 decision to the Bison.
Navy holds a 3-0 record in the all-time series with Rider. Sunday’s game will be nearly 10 years to the day of the first meeting between the teams (Nov. 18, 2007). The teams most recently met four years ago when the Mids defeated the Broncs 75-64 in a game played as part of the Navy Classic.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth online in advance of the game at NavySports.com. The Alumni Hall Ticket Office will open one hour prior to the start of the game.
USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. It is suggested that fans park and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin one hour prior to tip. Note that a government issued identification card must be carried and presented by visitors ages 18 and older to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard.
