What did you do this summer?
"As a sophomore your summer training is a surface cruise. I was on the USS Carney - DDG 64 out of Mayport, FL. On summer leave, I went home and spent time with my family and friends. I was fortunate to go down to the Shore and to a couple amusement parks. Most importantly though, I relaxed and caught up on sleep that I missed during plebe year."

What was your favorite part?
"Vacationing in the Poconos with my parents, brother, and sister. It's very rare for our whole family to be together nowadays. I like to take in the time we do share together."
