Navy Women's Golf Places Eighth at Mount St. Mary's Invitational
Renata Bucher finished with a 244, good for 11th place.

LITTLESTOWN, Pa. -- The Navy women's golf team shot two rounds under 360 and finished with a three-round total of 1,085 to place eighth at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The Mids played 36 holes on Monday, recording rounds of 360 and 354 before finishing with a 371 during Tuesday's final round.
Central Connecticut State led from start to finish, ending the tournament with a 927 on the par-72 layout. Robert Morris finished second with a total of 952.
Freshman Renata Bucher (Colorado Springs, Colo.) narrowly missed a top-10 finish, placing 11th with a three-round total of 244. Bucher compiled rounds of 79-82-83, setting a school record with a seven-over par 79 in Monday's first round.
Senior Catherine Reed (Tipp City, Ohio) finished in a tie for 21st place with a total of 84-83-82=249. Reed's third-round score of 82 was a career low.
Grace Dalton (Jr. / Malvern, Pa.) tied a career low in the second round with an 89 and finished 39th with a 94-89-95=278.
Melia-Mae Lagat (Fr. / Bremerton, Wash.) rounded out Navy's scoring with a 103-100-111=314.
The Midshipmen will travel to the first Patriot League Women's Golf Championship in league history when it heads to the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa., on Saturday and Sunday.
