UPPER SAUCON, Pa. - The Navy women's golf team shot an overall score of 346 on Monday, its best round of the fall, to conclude its fall schedule at the Lehigh Invitational at the Grace Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club on Monday. Navy shot a two-day total of 726 (380-346) to place ninth of nine teams.
Navy's 346 on Monday is the team's best round in its brief program history. Navy improved its overall score 34 shots from Sunday to Monday.
"Saucon Valley is a challenging golf course and the first round proved to be a bit of a test for us," head coach Nadia Ste-Marie said. "We had a nice practice following Sunday's round and Monday proved to be a much better day. We shot our team low with a 346 today and everyone improved on their score. It was a great way to end our fall season."
Sophomore Renata Bucher (Colorado Springs, Colo.) shot a 7-over par 79 on Monday and an 86 on Sunday to lead Navy with a 165. Bucher tied for 34th place overall and was Navy's low scorer.

Harvard won the team title with a 24-over par 600 (303-297). Princeton's Kelly Shon was the medalist with a 2-under par 142 (73-69).
"I feel that we now have a good feel for this course, which is where the Patriot League Championship will be played in the spring," said Ste-Marie.
Lehigh will host the 2014 Patriot League Championship at Saucon Valley from April 19-20.
Navy will return to action on March 12 to open its spring schedule at Butler's Bulldog Florida Invitational at the Windsor Parke Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
