Women's Golf Adds Six Newcomers for 2014-15 Season
Head coach Nadia Ste-Marie
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Head coach Nadia Ste-Marie has announced the Navy women's golf program's first fully recruited class of six student-athletes. The six student-athletes will join two returners to make up an eight-member roster for Navy's third season of varsity women's golf in 2014-15.
Due to the timing of the announcement of the women's golf club program being elevated to varsity status and the realities of recruiting cycles, this is Ste-Marie's first fully recruited class, which will serve as the foundation of the fledgling program.
The national class features two players from California and one each from Colorado, Florida, Maryland and South Carolina. The class brings a wealth of experience on both the Junior and high school circuit.
Navy will open the 2014 fall season at the Tignanelli Towson Invite at the Towson Golf and Country Club in Phoenix, Maryland from Sunday to Monday.
The Patriot League has added Richmond as a women's golf program heading into the 2014-15 season and now with six teams, the Patriot League Champion will receive a berth to the NCAA Championship.
