Navy Women's Golf Prepares for the Lehigh Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's golf team will play its fourth and final fall tournament this Sunday and Monday at the Lehigh Invitational in Upper Saucon, Pa. The 36-hole meet will be held at the par-72 Grace Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club, which plays 5,614 yards from the white tees.
Along with host Lehigh and Navy, other participating schools are Boston U., Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton, Seton Hall and Yale at the 9-team meet. Lehigh and Boston U. are fellow members of the Patriot League.
Sophomore Renata Bucher (Colorado Springs, Colo.) carries Navy's lowest season average into the weekend at 83.9. Freshman Katie Ryall (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has the second lowest average this season at 87.7.
At Navy's last competition, the Rutgers Invitational from Oct. 14-15, Ryall led Navy with a 168 (86-82), while Bucher was one shot back at 169 (82-87).
This is the first time that Navy has competed at the Saucon Valley Country Club. The Saucon Valley Country Club will also be the site of the 2014 Patriot League Women's Golf Championship from April 19-20.
Navy will resume competition during its spring schedule on March 12 when it begins play at Butler's Bulldog Florida Invitational at the Windsor Parke Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
