Kirstyn Atkinson won three national titles at Northwestern.
Kirstyn Atkinson will enter her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2013 season.
Atkinson served as a graduate assistant coach at Drexel during the 2012 season following her playing career at Northwestern (2008-11).
While at Drexel, Atkinson helped the team to an 11-6 record and a berth in the CAA postseason tournament.
A midfielder during her playing career at Northwestern, Atkinson played in 66 games and was a member of three national championship teams (2008, 2009 and 2011). The Wildcats held a record of 85-5 (.944) while Atkinson was a member of the program.
Atkinson was also a two-year member of the Northwestern women's soccer team, starting 19 games as a freshman and sophomore and seeing action in 36 games.
In addition to coaching at Drexel, Atkinson has extensive experience coaching youth lacrosse clubs and camps.
The Baltimore, Md. native earned a bachelor's degree in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern in June 2011.
