ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's lacrosse team will once again play in a nationally-televised game when CBS Sports Network airs the Navy-American game from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on April 13.
The Navy-American contest will be one of six Patriot League regular-season lacrosse games televised by CBS Sports Network this season, and the only women's game.
The Navy women's squad played three games on CBS Sports Network last season. Navy's home games against Colgate and Lehigh were televised, as well as the 2011 Patriot League championship game.
Additionally, the Mids will have four games broadcast on Navy All-Access during the 2012 season. All-Access contests will be home games against Longwood on Feb. 18, Bucknell on March 10, California on March 28 and Holy Cross on March 31.
Fans can sign up to become Navy All-Access subscribers for $9.95 a month or $79.95 a year (from date of purchase). All-Access subscribers will be able to view live and archived video for a variety of Navy athletic teams.
Head coach Cindy Timchal is retuning nine starters from last season's Patriot League championship squad. The team will open its 2012 schedule at High Point on Feb. 11.
