ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Once again CBS Sports Network will partner with the Naval Academy to televise two men's lacrosse games and one women's lacrosse game this spring, while Navy will also stream a number of men's and women's game online free of charge.
CBS Sports Network will kick off its coverage on Wednesday, April 9 when it airs the Navy women's game against Lehigh live from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium beginning at 6:30 pm. The Mids hold a 5-4 series advantage over the Mountain Hawks, winning three in a row.
The network will continue its coverage just three days later from Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y., where it will air the annual Army-Navy men's game beginning at 2:00 pm. The Midshipmen lead the series, 57-32-3, and hold a 52-31-3 advantage in Star Games.
The following week the Navy men return home to play host to Johns Hopkins in a contest that will be broadcast live under the lights. The Friday night contest (April 18, 7:00 pm) features the 88th edition of the Mids vs. the Blue Jays in a series that has seen Navy win the last two games played in Annapolis.
CBS Sports Network will also broadcast the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals for the men at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Friday, April 25, as well as the Patriot League Championship on April 27 at 1:00 pm.
In addition to the television coverage this spring, Navy will provide a free HD video stream of its six remaining home men's lacrosse games, as well as six women's games: Feb. 23 vs. Davidson (12:00 pm), March 5 vs. George Washington (4:00 pm), March 8 vs. Lafayette (12:00 pm), March 22 vs. Boston University (3:00 pm), March 29 vs. Colgate (12:00 pm) and April 5 vs. Michigan (3:00 pm). Both NavySports.com and PatriotLeague.TV will stream those contests live.
Finally, local radio station WNAV 1430 AM / 99.9 FM will carry all 13 of Navy's regular-season men's games with Pete Medhurst and Joe Miller on the call.
