ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy women's lacrosse senior Meghan Hughes is the latest Midshipman to be featured in the 'Meet the Mid' series. Hughes is a four-year member of the Navy women's lacrosse team and hails from nearby Stevensville, Md. Hughes has received surface warfare as her service selection.

The Navy women's lacrosse team will open its fifth season of Division I varsity lacrosse at High Point on Saturday. The Mids will have their home opener on February 15 against William & Mary at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Navy has won the past two Patriot League championships and advanced to both the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Tournament.

The Best Thing About Playing Navy Women's Lacrosse Is: The dance parties before the game.

If I Could Trade Places With One Of My Teammates For A Day It Would Be: Jasmine DePompeo. Not only is she a great crease roller, she is also a phenomenal ribbon dancer. You just can't teach great talent like that.

Something My Teammates Would Be Surprised To Know About Me Is That: My friends and I are still World Champion Punkin' Chunkers with our machine "Little Feats" in Youth Catapult, throwing 1232.94 feet in 2005.
