CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -
For the third straight week Navy senior attacker Jasmine DePompeo (Sayville, N.Y.) has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Navy (10-1, 3-0 PL) also remained at No. 14 in Monday's edition of the deBeer Media Poll.
DePompeo scored 11 points to help Navy earn a pair of victories last week, defeating George Washington on the road, 9-6, and besting Lafayette, 15-8, to move to 3-0 in conference play.
DePompeo matched her season-high of eight points on four goals and four assists in the win at George Washington. DePompeo got other players involved early, assisting on Navy's first three goals before taking over late by scoring Navy's final three goals of the game. She was involved in eight of Navy's nine scoring plays.
The senior co-captain then scored three points on two goals and one assist in Navy's home win over Lafayette on Saturday.
DePompeo leads the Patriot League in both points per game (6.18) and assists per game (3.00). She has 68 points this season on 35 goals and 33 assists.
She recently moved into fifth place on the Patriot League career scoring chart with 277 points and her 129 assists are just five shy of tying the league's career assists record.
This is the sixth career weekly accolade for the two-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year.
Navy will play just one game this week, hosting UC Davis on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
