DePompeo and Generi Receive Patriot League Weekly Lacrosse Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Senior attacker Jasmine DePompeo (Sayville, N.Y.) and sophomore attacker Loren Generi (Bayport, N.Y.) have been honored after leading No. 14/12 Navy to a pair of double overtime victories last week.
DePompeo was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for a record sixth time this season and Generi has been named the Patriot League Midfield Player of the Week. DePompeo has also been tabbed as the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Rolls-Royce for the second-straight week.
DePompeo scored game-winning sudden-victory goals twice last week, and Generi assisted on both tallies, as Navy defeated Jacksonville, 13-12, and American, 11-10.
Navy captured the Patriot League Regular Season title by going 6-0 in conference with the win at American and the Mids have won 10-straight games to finish the regular season at 16-1.
DePompeo scored six points on four goals and two assists against Jacksonville and added a hat trick in the win against American. Her game-winner came 36 seconds into double overtime against Jacksonville and 41 seconds into double overtime against American.
DePompeo leads the Patriot League and the NCAA in total points (114) and is ranked second with 62 assists. DePompeo became Navy's all-time single-season scoring leader against American and she is five points shy of tying Lehigh's Jill Altshuler (1993-96) for the Patriot League single-season record.
The co-captain has already become the Navy and Patriot League all-time leading scorer and is the all-time leader in assists. She currently has 323 career points (166 goals, 157 assists).
Generi had five points on two goals and three assists with nine draw controls against Jacksonville. The sophomore had another five-point game against American, scoring four goals with one assist and six draw controls.
Generi leads Navy and the Patriot League in goals (55) and draw controls (96). Generi has been named the midfield player of the week three times this season.
Top-seeded Navy will host No. 4 Lafayette in the Patriot League semifinals on Friday at 5:00 PM. No. 3 Holy Cross will meet No. 2 American in the second semifinal Friday at 7:45 PM, also at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The semifinal winners will play Sunday at 12 noon for the tournament title and NCAA berth. Admission is free to all games.
