ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy women's lacrosse senior attacker Jasmine DePompeo (Sayville, N.Y.) and sophomore attacker Loren Generi (Bayport, N.Y.) received All-South Region honors from the IWLCA on Tuesday. DePompeo earns a spot on the All-South Region First Team while Generi has been named to the second team.

The IWLCA honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection on one of the four All-Region teams. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on May 17. Navy is housed in the South Region along with the likes of No. 1 Maryland, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Florida and No. 6 Georgetown.

DePompeo has established a Navy season record with her NCAA-leading 120 points and 6.32 points per game average. Her 65 assists are second in the nation and are the sixth-best single-season total in NCAA history. She also has scored 55 goals.

DePompeo is the NCAA's active career leader in both points (329) and assists, while her 161 career helpers are the fourth-most in NCAA history.

The co-captain was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the all-league first team for the third-straight year. She is also one of 25 Tewaaraton Award nominees and was the Patriot League Tournament MVP.

DePompeo was an All-South Region Second-Team honoree in 2011 and 2012.

Generi shares the team lead and ranks sixth in the nation with 59 goals scored. Generi has 103 draw controls, which are tied for the fourth most in the country. She also has 13 assists and 72 points overall.

In just two seasons, Generi has already become Navy's all-time leader in draw controls (221) and has scored 111 goals. Generi was named to the All-Patriot League First Team in 2013 and was the Patriot League Rookie of the Year in 2012.

Generi tied Navy single-game records this season when scoring eight goals and controlling 11 draws against UC Davis on March 27.

No. 16/11 Navy (18-1) received the No. 8 seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament and will host Monmouth (13-6) on Friday at 5:00 PM in the NCAA First Round. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium will also be the site of No. 8/10 Duke vs. No. 17/15 Princeton on Friday at 7:15 PM. Friday's winners will meet Sunday at 12 noon in the NCAA Second Round.
