ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Freshman Kelly Larkin (Alexandria, Va.) of the Navy women’s lacrosse team was named the Naval Academy Athletics Association Athlete of the Week for her efforts in the 2017 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Semifinals.

Larkin was also named to the 2017 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team, as announced by the NCAA.

She led the team with six points against the Boston College in the Final Four, scoring a career-high six goals. For Larkin, it was her 10th hat trick of the season, joining Jenna Collins (Clarksville, Md.) and Morgan Young (Baltimore, Md.) as the only players this season with double-digit hat tricks. Larkin finished the season with 108 points, becoming the fourth player in school history with 100 or more points in a season and the first freshman to accomplish the feat. She led the team in assists, dishing out 54 helpers on the year. The Alexandria, Va. native set the Navy freshman record for points and assists in a season.
