Hubley, Young Selected to 2017 IWLCA Senior All-Star Team

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy women's lacrosse senior captains Meghan Hubley (West Chester, Pa.) and Morgan Young (Baltimore, Md.) were selected to play in the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game, as announced by the IWLCA.

The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. Hubley and Young are both members of the South Team. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 3, 2017. The Division I teams will play the first game at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free of charge. The game will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.

Hubley finished the 2017 season with 22 games played and started. She recorded 24 caused turnovers, which is the Navy senior record and ranks fifth in the Midshipmen's record books in a single season. Hubley grabbed 42 ground balls, which ranks sixth in Navy history for a single season. The defender also recorded eight draw controls and added an assist on the year. She finished her Navy career ranked ninth in career games played with 76 and eighth in caused turnovers (50).

Young concluded her senior year with 79 total points, scoring 53 goals and adding 26 assists, starting in all 23 games for the Midshipmen this season. She finished her Navy career ranking ninth in career points (163), eighth in goals scored (122), and fourth in free-position goals (31). Young tied for seventh in school history, playing in 79 career games. The Baltimore native finished her career with 21 hat tricks, including 11 this season.
