The Navy women's rowing team kept its undefeated season going on Saturday as the varsity eight defeated both St. Joseph's and Rutgers on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Navy crews won all five races on the day.
"It was a great day and another clean sweep," said Navy head coach Mike Hughes. "This is the end of our regular season and to have the varsity still undefeated is great. Now we have to focus on getting faster before the Eastern Sprints and then the Patriot League Championships. We're not done yet because we have to get faster. We're excited to get back to training."
The varsity eight picked up a pair of wins to improve to 5-0 on the season in duals, defeating both Rutgers and St. Joseph's with a time of 6:03.3. Rutgers finished second with a 6:09.9 and St. Joe's third with a 6:14.6.
