ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's rowing team will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., to take on Boston University and St. Joseph's on Saturday. Racing will begin at 9:50 a.m. on the Schuylkill River.

The Schedule
The Navy, Boston University and St. Joseph's varsity eight crews will open the racing on Saturday morning at 9:50 a.m. The second varsity race will follow at 10:10 a.m. and the varsity four `A' race will take place at 10:30 a.m. The third varsity will be the last eight race of the day, at 10:50 a.m., with the varsity four `B' and novice four following at 11:10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively.

The Last Time Out
In its only home meet of the spring, Navy swept all three races from Georgetown last weekend. Navy's first varsity crew used a strong finish to hold off the Hoyas, 6:59.26-7:02.02, as the top boat improved to 18-3 on the season. The Mids' second varsity eight and four boat both won their races by over five seconds.

Quoting the Coach
Coach Mike Hughes on this weekend's competition...

"Last weekend I thought were good races for us, to beat Georgetown two weeks in a row is pretty good. We were able to really have a fantastic sprint in both boats. This weekend, St. Joe's and Boston University are both great competition. I think we're very close in speed, so it will be whoever gets the best race."
