ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Head coach
Carin Gabarra has announced the Navy women's soccer team's six-game spring competition schedule. Navy will play four home games and will also partake in the Headers for Hope Showcase on April 13 at Howard High School in Columbia, Md.
Navy's four home games will be contested at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on the grounds of the United States Naval Academy. All spring games are open to the public and admission is free.
Navy will open the spring season with a home game against Georgetown on Friday, March 22 at 7:00 PM. The Mids will then take on a second BIG EAST opponent in Villanova at home on Sunday, April 7 at 4:00 PM.
Navy will travel to the Headers for Hope Showcase on April 13, taking on Old Dominion at 9:30 AM and William & Mary at 1:30 PM. The Mids will wrap up their spring game schedule at home on Friday, April 19 against George Mason at 6:00 PM.
Navy's 2012 spring schedule was highlighted by a trip to Spain to play club teams in Barcelona and Madrid.
Navy was 19-2-1 overall in 2012 and won the Patriot League Regular Season title with a 6-0-1 conference mark. The Mids will return nine starters, six all-conference players and one All-American in defender Jade Seabrook for the 2013 fall season.
