ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy head women's soccer coach Carin Gabarra has announced the nine newcomers who have joined the program for the upcoming 2013 season. The nine newcomers hail from six states, with five being from Maryland or Virginia.

The newcomers have joined the returning players for preseason camp, which opened on August 6. Navy will play at 2012 national runner-up Penn State in an exhibition match on August 16 before its season opener against NC State on August 23 at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

Navy was 19-2-1 in 2012 and was the Patriot League Tournament runner-up after winning the regular season title at 6-0-1. The Mids return eight starters and three 20-point scorers from a year ago.
