ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Women's soccer sophomore Kaylie Davidson (Oceanside, Calif.) has been named the Navy Athlete of the Week Presented by Rolls Royce for the week ending August 25. The Naval Academy Athletic Association will be honoring one student-athlete each week from one of its 32 varsity sports during the 2013-14 academic year based on athletic performance.

Davidson scored Navy's (1-1-0) first goal of the season, which gave the Midshipmen an early 1-0 lead, against N.C. State (2-0-0) in the 3-2 loss on Friday, Aug. 23 at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The sophomore midfielder followed up with the first goal of the game against The Citadel (0-2-0), which was the eventual game-winner in the 5-0 win on Sunday, Aug. 25 at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

The Midshipmen wrap up their three-game homestand on Friday, Aug. 30 against North Florida at 7 PM. Navy will then travel to in-state opponent, No. 17 Maryland, on Sunday, Sept. 1 at Ludwig Field. Match is slated for 7 PM.
