Navy Athlete of the Week Presented by Rolls Royce: Ashlynn Soellner, Women's Soccer
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Women's soccer junior forward Ashlynn Soellner (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) has been named the Navy Athlete of the Week Presented by Rolls Royce for the week ending September 2. The Naval Academy Athletic Association will be honoring one student-athlete each week from one of its 32 varsity sports during the 2012-13 academic year based on athletic performance.

Soellner scored nine points on four goals and one assist in three Navy victories last week.
Soellner began the week by scoing the game-winning goal in Navy's 3-2 win over George Mason in the 90th minute.
She also scored the game-tying goal in Navy's come-from-behind 2-1 win at Jacksonville on Friday night.
Soellner was credited with the game-winning goal in Navy's 5-3 win over North Florida on Sunday. Soellner scored a career-high five points in the contest on two goals and one assist.
The junior forward was also named the Patriot League BRINE Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
Navy (5-1) will take its five-game winning streak into a Friday contest against Rider at 7 pm at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
