Dankanich and Hoerner Garner Women's Soccer Patriot League Weekly Awards
Senior captain Elizabeth Hoerner has tallied two shutouts, which is tied-for first in the Patriot League this season.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Following a 2-0 weekend with overtime wins over Duquesne and St. Bonaventure, Morgan Dankanich and Elizabeth Hoerner were honored as BRINE Offensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Dankanich found herself at the right place at the right time this past weekend. On Friday against Duquesne, the junior forward tallied the game-winner in the 104th minute of double-overtime. Teammate Paloma Perez volleyed a pass into the box, Dankanich positioned herself perfectly to receive the pass and finished the play for her seventh career game-winner. Then on Sunday, the Glenmoore, Pa. native recorded Navy’s first goal of the game off her own corner kick and wrapped up with the game-winning assist to teammate Kaylie Davidson in the 92nd minute.
Hoerner played well between the pipes this past weekend. In 104 minutes played against Duquesne, the senior goalkeeper blanked the Dukes and made four saves for her second shutout of the season. This is Hoerner’s second time in her career being honored with this weekly award.
