ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's soccer team (9-1-0) will look to extend its nine-game win streak when the team hosts Boise State (4-5-1) on Friday at 7:00 PM at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The Mids will also play at Howard (0-8-2) on Monday at 7:00 PM. The Navy-Boise State game will feature live video on Navy All-Access and live statistics.
Navy is currently tied with No. 8 Virginia Tech for the nation's longest winning streak at nine games. The Hokies play at No. 18 North Carolina on Thursday night. No. 1 Florida State is right behind Navy and Virginia Tech with eight straight wins.
Navy's current nine-game winning streak is the second-longest in program history behind the 2006 team's 19-game winning streak.
Navy also currently leads the Patriot League and is ranked sixth in the nation in scoring offense with 3.10 goals per game. The Mids have scored 31 goals in their first 10 games. Navy scored 35 goals in 22 games a year ago.

Last Time Out
Navy competed a fourth straight 2-0 weekend by knocking off James Madison, 3-2, and VMI, 5-0. Against JMU, Navy rallied from a 2-1 second-half deficit on back-to-back goals in a two-minute span from sophomore forward Caprice Kelty (Odenton, Md.) and freshman defender Lizzy Rullan (East Setauket, N.Y.). Sophomore forward Morgan Dankanich (Glenmoore, Pa.) also scored against James Madison with her sixth goal of the year.
Five different players scored in Navy's shutout win over VMI, including junior forward Ashlynn Soellner (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) with her sixth goal of the season.
Soellner and junior forward Paloma Perez (Mobile, Ala.) share the team lead of 14 points. Soellner has six goals and two assists and Perez has four goals and six assists. Dankanich is third on the team with 13 points (6 goals, 1 assists).
Weekly Honors for Rullan and Davidson
Navy plebes Lizzy Rullan and Kaylie Davidson both received weekly honors after helping Navy to a 2-0 mark last weekend. Rullan was named the ECAC Women's Soccer Division I Defensive Player of the Week and the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. Davidson was tabbed as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
Rullan became the third different Midshipmen (Jade Seabrook and Julie Schumacher) to earn Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.
Rullan scored the game-winning goal in Navy's 3-2 win over James Madison and played 90 minutes against VMI as a central defender to help Navy post its third shutout.
Davidson scored a goal in the win over VMI and added an assist against James Madison. Davidson is fourth on the team in scoring with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists).
Scouting Boise State
Boise State enters the weekend with a 4-5-1 mark. The Broncos defeated Nebraska-Omaha, 2-0, last weekend and tied Utah, 1-1. Boise State opened the season with back-to-back wins, but dropped five of its next six games.
Sophomore midfielder Shannon Schueren leads the team with 12 points on five goals and two assists and three other players have scored two goals each.
Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy McDevitt is 4-5-1 with a 1.71 goals-against average and a .660 save percentage.
The Broncos were 8-11-1 last season and 2-4-0 in their first year in the Mountain West.
Friday's game will be the second meeting between the two schools. Navy defeated Boise State, 2-1, in 2009. Current senior Brittany Fruin (McLean, Va.) scored in the game against Boise State as a freshman in 2009 and classmate Fallon Puppolo (Sankt Leon, Germany) added an assist.
The Bison enter the weekend with an 0-8-2 record and will play at George Washington on Friday night before hosting Navy.
Howard has lost four straight games heading into Friday's contest at George Washington. The last three losses have been in one-goal games, falling to American (2-1), Mount St Mary's (2-1) and Wagner (3-2).
Howard was 3-11-1 in 2011.
Navy leads the all-time series against Howard, 7-0-0, and has outscored the Bison, 43-5. The two teams last met in 2009 with Navy earning a 3-1 win. Fruin and Puppolo both recorded assists as freshmen in the 2009 meeting.

Navy will open the 2012 Patriot League slate with a home game against American on Friday, September 28 at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Navy was the Patriot League runner-up in 2011.
