Oct. 30, 2013
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women’s soccer junior defender Jade Seabrook (St. Paris, Ohio) has been named to Top Drawer Soccer Women’s Team of the Week ending on Oct. 27, which was announced by the website.
Along with Seabrook, Navy (15-3, 8-0 Patriot League) remains third in the National Soccer College Association of American (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll. The Mids are ranked behind Patriot League School Boston University, who is ranked first, and Harvard.
Seabrook is one of three defenders named to the team of the week. The junior defender helped Navy blank two more Patriot League opponents (Lehigh & Loyola) this past week. Seabrook and the rest of the Navy backline have not allowed a goal in eight-straight Patriot League matches.
The St. Paris, Ohio native has logged the most minutes on the field for Navy. Out of a possible 1638 minutes, Seabrook has competed on the field for 1535 of them. She has helped anchor a Mids backline to 13 total shutouts this season.
Navy will conclude the 2013 regular-season schedule against archrival Army on Friday, Nov. 1 at West Point, N.Y. Match is slated for 7 p.m.
