Seabrook Earns NSCAA All-America Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Navy women’s soccer junior defender Jade Seabrook (St. Paris, Ohio) was selected as a 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA All-America Third Team member, announced by the NSCAA on Friday.
Seabrook continues to place herself as one of Navy’s best defenders in program history. The junior defender was selected as a Third Team All-American for the second straight season and the only Mid in program history to be named an All-American.
Seabrook was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and also to the all-league first team for the second straight season. She was a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, an Offensive Player of the Week (10/21) and was named to the Patriot League All-Tournament.
Seabrook was a key member in anchoring a strong Navy backline, posting 13 shutouts and the League’s second-best mark in goals-against average (0.57). She lead all players with 1760 minutes played.
On the offensive end, Seabrook’s lone goal was the game-winning goal against Holy Cross on Oct. 18.
Head coach Carin Gabarra led Navy (16-5) to a Patriot League Regular Season Championship (8-1) and the team advanced to the league title game.
