OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Continuing to add onto her end of the year accolades, Navy women’s soccer senior goalkeeper Elizabeth Hoerner (Lititz, Pa.) earned senior CLASS Award First Team All-American laurels on Friday.
Hoerner joined Penn State’s Maya Hayes, Florida State’s Kassey Kallman, North Carolina’s Kealia Ohai and Illinois State’s Anna Stinson on the First Team. Aubrey Bledsoe (Wake Forest), Vanessa DiBernardo (Illinois), Jonelle Filigno (Rutgers), Kristen Hamilton (Denver) and Holly Hein (Michigan) rounded out the Second Team.
An Honors Oceanography major, Hoerner owns a 3.86 grade-point average and ranks second in Military Order of Merit among the 1,098 midshipmen in the Class of 2013. She has ascended up the ranks in both Overall Order of Merit and Academic Order of Merit, having currently reached 63rd and 85th on both lists. The Lititz, Pa. native has been recognized on the Commandant’s List in each of her six semesters and named to the Superintendent’s List five times.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
