Gorinski Finishes Day Two at NCAA Swim Meet

Laura Gorinski

March 16, 2012

AUBURN, Ala. - Navy's Laura Gorinski (Jr., Greensburg, Pa.) posted a time of 1:01.90 to place 37th in the trial heats of the 100 breaststroke event Friday afternoon at the NCAA Women's Swimming Championship in Auburn, Ala.

"Laura was a little aggressive in today's race," said Navy women's swimming head coach John Morrison. "That may have hurt her a little bit, but it still was a solid swim. We have a few things for her to work on during her training session this event. She is excited about the opportunity ahead of her Saturday."

Gorinski, who placed 45th in the 200 individual medley on Thursday, will close out her first national championship meet Saturday with the 200 breaststroke event.
