Navy Sweeps UMBC in Swimming & Diving
BALTIMORE, Md. –– Victories in a combined 22 events gave the Navy swimming and diving teams a sweep of UMBC Friday evening at the UMBC Aquatics Complex in Baltimore. Both Navy teams are now 2-0 on the young season and each UMBC squad is now 1-1 after the Mids won the men’s meet by the score of 157-131 and the women’s dual by the count of 167-128.
“The team swam and dove very well today,” said Navy men’s swimming head coach Bill Roberts. “We always enjoy competing against UMBC. Like last week (when the Mids defeated East Carolina), there are many things we know we can improve upon going forward.”
