2012-13 - Freshman: Posted a combined record of 21-15 as a freshman ... went 11-7 in singles play and was 10-8 in doubles ... went 5-1 in singles at dual meets and was 5-0 while playing at No. 4 ... won her last five singles matches of the spring ... went 6-6 in singles in the fall ... was 4-4 in doubles in dual matches and 6-4 in the fall ... advanced to the finals of the D flight in doubles at the Wake Forest Invitational.

Prior to Navy: A 2012 graduate of Carmel High School, Carlson lettered four times in tennis ... led team to the 2009 and 2011 Indiana state titles ... was a four-time (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) all-state selection and served as the team captain during her junior and senior seasons ... won the deciding match in the state finals as a junior, a three-set triumph over an Evansville Memorial foe ... won the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award as a senior after finishing with a 20-2 singles record ... a three-star recruit and ranked No. 9 in the state of Indiana by TennisRecruiting.net ... team also reached the state finals as a sophomore and the semifinals as a senior ... owned a 4.31 GPA while ranking in the top three percent of her graduating class ... was a member of National Honor Society, student government, Student Venture and the Spanish Honor Society ... born in Indianapolis, Ind. ... daughter of Craig and Debbie Carlson ... mother, Debbie, played tennis for four years at Purdue and is still a tennis professional at the Indianapolis Racket Club ... started the Carmel Tennis Fundraiser which raises money for the Julian Center, a place that has been supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises for 37 years ... also went on recruiting visits to Army and Xavier ... majoring in political science.
