ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy women's tennis team earned its first Patriot League win of the season on Saturday, blanking Bucknell, 7-0, at the Brigade Sports Complex.

The win improves Navy's record to 18-3 overall and runs Navy's winning streak to 16 matches. Navy also won its 10th straight Patriot League regular season match and is now 10-1 all-time against Patriot League foes during the regular season.

Navy needs just four more wins to match the school-record 22 victories set during the 2011 season.

For the sixth straight match, and 14th time in 21 matches this year, Navy won the doubles point to take a 1-0 match lead. Logan Antill (Fr. / Butler, Pa.) and Darien Sears (Jr. / Silver Spring, Md.) wasted little time to win the first finished match with an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles for their 10th dual-meet win of the season.

Emani Decquir (Sr. / Sacramento, Calif.) and Sam Droop (Fr. / Hilton Head Island, S.C.) clinched the doubles point for the Midshipmen with an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles. The Midshipmen would fall at No. 1 doubles by an 8-7 (4) score, but had already won the critical doubles point.

Navy then dominated singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets for the 7-0 victory over the Bison.

Freshman Katie Porter (Matthews, N.C.) won her 10th dual match of the spring at No. 6 doubles by a 6-3, 6-1 tally for a 2-0 Navy advantage in the match.

Senior Stefanie Ton (Milpitas, Calif.) improved to 15-8 (9-4 duals) with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Jen Bush at No. 5 singles.

Freshman Logan Antill (Butler, Pa.) then clinched the Navy victory at No. 4 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. The win was Antill's 20th of the season, becoming just the fifth Navy player in school history to win 20 matches in a season, joining Sears, Snook (twice), Gabby Winter (So. / Orlando, Fla.) and Amanda Griffin as 20-match winners in Navy history.

Sears then won at No. 3 singles by a 7-5, 6-2 decision to run her record to 13-10 on the season.

Decquir was victorious at No. 1 singles by a 6-2, 6-4 tally and Snook closed out the sweep at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 7-6 (0) score.

Navy will host Colgate on Sunday at 10:00 AM at the Brigade Sports Complex to wrap up its weekend play.
