ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women’s tennis team (17-10, 4-2 PL) will play Georgetown (11-4) on Friday at 11:00 AM in its final non-conference match of the season. The contest will be played at the outdoor courts at the Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, just a block away from the Georgetown University campus.

Navy will be playing its fourth straight road contest on Friday and the Mids have won six of their last seven matches.

Navy is coming off a 6-1 win over Towson last Saturday. Navy won the doubles point, 2-1, and won five of six singles matches. Junior Amanda Keller, freshman Ansofi Wreder, freshman Emily Louie-Meadors, freshman Kaylah Hodge and junior Carlee Conway posted singles wins against Towson.

Keller has 67 career singles wins and is one win from moving into a tie for third all-time at Navy with 2013 graduate Emani Decquir. Keller’s career singles record is 67-42.

Wreder leads Navy with a 26-8 singles record this season. She ranks second all-time at Navy in single-season wins, behind only Keller’s 29 in 2014-15. Wreder is 13-4 in dual matches, playing mostly at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.

Louie-Meadors is second on the team in singles wins with a 20-10 record and Rogers is 18-14.

Navy is 2-1 all-time against Georgetown. The Mids defeated the Hoyas last season in Annapolis, 4-3. Navy also defeated Georgetown 4-3 in the inaugural meeting in 2014, while Georgetown defeated Navy in 2015, 6-1.

Georgetown will be playing its first match in 13 days. The Hoyas last defeated DePaul on April 8. Senior Victorie Saperstein was named the BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week on April 12 for helping the Hoyas to a 4-3 win over DePaul the previous week.

Navy will next compete in the nine-team Patriot League Women’s Tennis Tournament at Lehigh from April 27-30. The tournament seedings will be released early next week.
